In celebration of October Energy Awareness Month, the USGBC-LA Los Angeles Sustainability Executives Roundtable (LASER) wants to help member organization’s employees improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reduce carbon emissions. LASER is challenging employees who are SCE, SoCal Gas, LADWP, and SDG&E customers to reduce carbon emissions stemming from home energy use (electricity AND natural gas) from October 1 through November 30, 2022 by at least 10%. The Top 10 energy savers will be awarded prizes! And if we achieve the group goal of 30,000 pounds of CO2 reductions, we will have the equivalent carbon reduction impact of about 16 acres of US forests in one year!
