Participant Eligibility
1. Must be a primary account holder of an active residential Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) electric account
2. Only participants who have been living at the home address of the associated PG&E account for at least 1 year and therefore have at least 1 year's worth of electricity data, are eligible to win the reward. Home address must be primary location of residence.
3. Participants with less than 1 year's worth of electricity data are still eligible to participate in the challenge, but will not be eligible to win the reward.
Individual Goal
Reduce your kWh electricity usage by as much as you can (as compared to your usage from 4/22/2018-6/30/2018). Try to aim for 5% energy savings.
Collective Goal
Achieve a total of 7,000 kWh in electricity savings as a collective group. This is enough electricity to power an average California home for a year!
Reward(s)
One participant will be selected to win a $300 Visa gift card. And if the collective 7,000 kilowatt-hour (kWh) energy savings goal is met, two additional winners will each receive a $100 Visa Gift Card. So invite your friends to join! Winner will be selected randomly from the total pool of entries. Participants get one entry for every 1% of electricity they save. Saving more electricity increases your chances of winning a prize.
