Participant Eligibility

1) Must be a primary account holder of an active residential Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) electric and/or natural gas account. 2) Only participants who have been living (and currently are living) at the home address of the associated PG&E account for at least 1 year and therefore have at least 1 year’s worth of electricity and/or natural gas data, are eligible to win the reward. Home address must be the primary location of residence. 3) Participants with less than 1 year’s worth of electricity and/or natural gas data are still eligible to participate in the challenge, but will not be eligible to win the reward.

Individual Goal

Reduce carbon emissions stemming from your home energy use (electricity AND natural gas) by at least 15% (as compared to your carbon emissions from home energy use from July 1 - September 30, 2019).

Collective Goal

Achieve a total of 7,000 pounds of CO2 emission reductions as a collective group. This is the equivalent of over 350 gallons of gasoline from being consumed.

Reward(s)

The first place top energy saver will win a $100 REI gift card, second place will win a $50 Home Depot gift card, and third place will win a $25 Boba Guys gift card.
